Handle emotions is the best lesson
Human beings are born with six basic emotions: enjoyment, disgust, sadness, fear, surprise, and anger. Among them, only “enjoyment” is positive; the others often bring discomfort.
人類天生有六種基本情感:喜悅、厭惡、悲傷、恐懼、驚訝、憤怒。其中只有「喜悅」是正向的,其它情感常常讓人不舒服。
That’s why we, as adults, need to first notice and manage our own emotions, and also practice with our children, so they can learn to care for themselves and others.
所以,我們大人要先學會察覺與處理自己的情緒,也要帶著孩子一起練習,讓他們學會照顧自己和他人。
After all, children are always watching us. The way we handle emotions is the best lesson they can learn.
因為,孩子每天都在看我們怎麼做,而我們的態度,就是他們最好的老師。
